Magnetic resonance imaging for lung cancer: a state-of-the-art review

چکیده
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide, and imaging techniques such as chest radiography, computed tomography (CT), positron emission (PET), magnetic resonance (MRI) play an important role in its diagnosis, staging, treatment planning, post-operative surveillance, response evaluation. Pulmonary MRI can non-invasively visualize structural functional abnormalities lungs without using ionizing radiation, although it has been suggested that less clinical utility than CT, PET/CT for thoracic diseases, especially lung diseases. With recent advances related to pulse sequences, pulmonary become practicable expanding number situations. This review article focuses on discusses applications detection, pre-operative evaluation, evaluation cancer.

متن کاملBimodal magnetic resonance imaging-computed tomography nanoprobes: A Review
Bimodal imaging combines two imaging modalities in order to benefit from their advantages and compensate the limitations of each modality. This technique could accurately detect diseases for diagnostic purposes. Nanoparticles simultaneously offer diagnostic data via various imaging modalities owing to their unique properties. Moreover, bimodal nanoprobes could be incorporated into theranostic s...
متن کاملSoftware Tools for the Analysis of Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) has become the most popular method for imaging of brain functions. Currently, there is a large variety of software packages for the analysis of fMRI data, each providing many features for users. Since there is no single package that can provide all the necessary analyses for the fMRI data, it is helpful to know the features of each software package. ...

In the investigation of tumors with conventional magnetic resonance imaging, both quantitative characteristics, such as size, edema, necrosis, and presence of metastases, and qualitative characteristics, such as contrast enhancement degree, are taken into consideration. However, changes in cell metabolism and tissue physiology which precede morphological changes cannot be detected by the conven...
